Batch Operation Templates
In the Batch Operation Templates options, you can set up templates for the ATR CustomTools Batch Operations executed through the Print/Convert feature. Templates allow you to start frequently used batch operations faster, as the Batch Operation Template has all necessary Print Profiles, File Conversion Rules, Tasks, etc. preselected.
The Batch Operation Templates options are located in the ATR CustomTools Profile Options.
Select the desired ATR CustomTools product from the table below to display further and product-specific instructions to find the Batch Operation Templates options.

Login to your ATR CustomTools database, select the ATR CustomTools profile node from the Database View and then click the Profile Options command located in the Profile Settings group in the ribbon. The ATR CustomTools Options dialog box appear with the Profile Options tab active. Select the Batch Operation Templates to see the options. |
From the Templates box, you can find the Batch Operation Templates that already exist in your Profile. Manage your Batch Operation Templates with the commands associated with the Templates box.
| New | Creates a new Batch Operation Template. Click the New button to start creating a new template for batch operations. |
| Edit | Opens the selected Batch Operation Template for editing. Settings of the selected template are loaded to the dialog box controls for editing when you click the Edit button. |
| Delete | Click the Delete button to remove selected Batch Operation Template(s) from your ATR CustomTools Profile. |
| Show Summary | Display the settings summary of the selected Batch Operation Template. Using the Show Summary feature, you can quickly check the selections made to the selected template. |
Template Editing Mode
While editing a Batch Operation Template, the following buttons have different labels and functions.
| New → Save | Creates a new Batch Operation Template. Click the New button to start creating a new template for batch operations. |
| Edit → Discard | Opens the selected Batch Operation Template for editing. Settings of the selected template are loaded to the dialog box controls for editing when you click the Edit button. |
| Delete → Disabled | The Delete button is disabled while you have a Batch Operation Template opened for editing. |
The Print order options determine the order in which the selected documents are processed in the batch operation.

Process documents in the order they currently are in the SOLIDWORKS Bill of Materials. For consideration of the structure hierarchy levels, ATR CustomTools provides the following options:

| Alphabetically | Select the Alphabetically option to process the documents in alphabetical (A-Z) order. Select the Use descending order option to process documents in inverted alphabetical order (Z-A). |
| By property value |
Select the By property value option to sort document processing by the value of the selected
Property (A-Z). Select the Use descending order option to process documents in inverted
order (Z-A) by the value of the selected Property.
NOTE:
You can sort the document processing order only with the Properties that have the
Display in Print/Convert option selected.

The Process drawings options determine how several instances of the same document in the structure are processed by the batch operation.
| Process all instances | Process all instances of all drawings included and selected in the document structure by the selected batch operation profile. |
| Process first instance by level | Processes only the first instance of the drawing found from the highest level of BOM. |
| Process first instance recursive | Processes only the first instance of the drawing recursively. The first instance is the one found from the document structure, searched from top to bottom. |
| Template name | Name of the Batch Operation Template. Give a unique name for each of your batch operation templates. When an existing Template is opened for editing, the current name of the selected Batch Operation Template appears in the Template name box. |
| Enable Quick Launch | Select this option to add the current Batch Operation Template to the Print/Convert flyout menu in the Command Manager tab for quick launching. Quick Launch will not ask for further user input but immediately executes the template against the active document or selected component. |
| Print Profile | Select the ATR CustomTools Batch Printing profiles to use with the selected template. Available Batch Printing profiles depend on the profiles defined in the Print Properties options. |
| Batch Conversion | Select the ATR CustomTools File Conversion Rules to use with the selected template. Available File Conversion Rules profiles depend on the profiles defined in the File Conversion options. |
| Tasks |
The batch operation Tasks supported by ATR CustomTools. With batch operation Tasks, you may execute features like the Cutting Profile and Bend Sheet against your SOLIDWORKS Drawings referenced by the Sheet Metal parts.
NOTE:
The Rebuild task is exclusive, meaning it is the only rule processed by the
Batch Operation when selected.

| Layer Definition |
Sets the layer definitions used while printing the drawings. You can set up the layer definitions in ATR
CustomTools
Layer Definitions options. Layers' visibility in the
batch operation output documents is determined based on the layers' visibility set in the
Layer Definitions options.
Layer definitions that have the Selected by default option selected in the Layer Definitions options are selected automatically, but those selections can be cleared if necessary. Empty language layers are ignored in the batch operation. |
| Overwrite Property Values |
Set up new values for the Properties to be written to drawings during batch operation. Properties that have the Enable changing of value in printing option selected in the property's Additional Options are shown in the pane and their values can be changed during batch operation.
