Layer Definitions
Layer Definition options are used to attach sets of layers together. The layer sets act like they were assigned into groups. Layer definitions can be used with ATR CustomTools batch operations to define properties to be printed to the output drawings.
The Layer Definitions options are located in the ATR CustomTools Profile Options.
Select the desired ATR CustomTools product from the table below to display further and product-specific instructions to find the Layer Definitions options.

Layer definitions are listed in the table.
| Name | Name of the layer definition. This name also appears in the Layer Definitions tab in the CustomPrint dialog box. |
| On by default | Shows if the layer definition is set to be selected by default in CustomPrint. |
| New | Creates new layer definition. |
| Edit | Edit selected layer definition. |
| Delete | Removes selected layer definition(s). |
Determine visibility of the layers included in the selected Layer definition. Visibility of the layers is also considered in ATR CustomTools batch operations. In ATR CustomTools batch operations, the layers set as visible in these options are included in the output documents.
From the SOLIDWORKS point of view, the ATR CustomTools Layer Definitions control the print setting of the selected SOLIDWORKS drawing document. If the selected layer is set as visible in the ATR CustomTools options, the selected layer is set to be printed in the SOLIDWORKS drawings for the batch operation execution, and after the batch operation the layers print setting in the SOLIDWORKS drawings is restored to what it was before the ATR CustomTools batch operation.

Opens the Open dialog box. Locate the desired SOLIDWORKS drawing document with the Open dialog. The existing layers are retrieved from the selected drawing excluding the Language layers. The layers read from an external file are set as enabled by default. |
