CustomTools database profiles are used to specify workgroup specific settings. At least one profile is needed in order to be able to use CustomTools.

A profile can be based on the Machinery Design profile template when the profile already have some of the most commonly used settings of machinery design needs defined. The pre-defined settings are fully customizable.

You can also create a profile that is not based on any template (Empty profile). With an empty profile, you can define all the necessary settings by yourself. Settings that apply to the CustomTools database profile could be modified in the CustomTools Profile Options.
