Dynamics NAV / Business Central 365 Integration

Profile name Specifies the name of the export profile.
Profile type Specifies the type of the export profile. Dynamics NAV Integration attaches the Export profile to the built-in Dynamics NAV / Business Central 365 integration module. If the integration is customized, the name will have a star (*) appended, i.e., Dynamics NAV Integration*.

If the module is customized, then this page might not be accurate in terms of what is supported and what is not.

NOTE: If you see DynamicsNAV written as type (instead of Dynamics NAV Integration or Dynamics NAV Integration*), then the Export profile is attached to Dynamics NAV / Business Central 365 integration module but the module is not loaded. Reason is usually that the integration module license is expired.
Quick Access Select this option to add the export profile as a Quick Access menu item under the Export button in the ATR CustomTools Command Manager tab. When the menu item is selected, Export dialog is opened with this export profile selected.
Allow using in SOLIDWORKS PDM Select this option to allow using this NAV/BC Export profile from SOLIDWORKS PDM Professional.

Note that this might not be supported if you have a customized version of the integration.

Output path Not used for Dynamics NAV Integration.
Configurations to export Dynamics NAV Integration without additional script customization, only supports Active/Referenced Configuration option.
Language Allows translating Dictionary Properties that are included in the Export profile to selected language.
Top level only Process only the documents in the top level of an assembly. Will export only the main assembly and top level components as Items. Only the main assembly will have Production BOM.
Parts only Process only the part documents of the assemblies. Will export only the main assembly and all parts of the design as Items. Only the main assembly will have Production BOM.
Indented assemblies

Processes the whole structure.

RECOMMENDED OPTION for Dynamics NAV/BC integrations. Will export the main assembly and all components as Items, and the main assembly and all subassemblies will have their own Production BOM.

Accumulate quantities

Select this option to calculate quantities in respect of the parent component quantities (which has its quantity calculated in respect of its parent etc).

NOT RECOMMENDED for Dynamics NAV/BC integrations.

Include drawings Select this option to include drawings to the structure, so they can be converted using selected conversion rules during the Export. Drawings will not be added as Items to NAV/BC. If the integration's Preview and Linking codeunit is deployed to NAV/BC and Set Item Link option set, the Item corresponding to the Drawing's model will get a link to the resulting drawing document conversion.
Include weldment cut list items Include the cut list items associated to the weldment components into the Export by selecting this option. Part that have cut-list items will get also a Production BOM.
Detailed cut list Select this option while you also have the Include weldment cut list items option selected to include the weldments' individual structural members on the export too. Part that have cut-list items will get also a Production BOM.
Include sheet metal cut list items Cut list items of the sheet metal parts are included in the Export while you have this option selected. Part that have cut-list items will get also a Production BOM.
Include solid body cut list items Include the cut list items of your solid body components into the Export by selecting this option. Part that have cut-list items will get also a Production BOM.
Display configurations of parts as separate items

Separates the different configurations of the document to individual items.

RECOMMENDED option for Dynamics NAV / BC integration.

Display configurations of parts as one item NOT RECOMMENDED. To use this option you must understand the implications of grouped configurations and how that affects the BOM structure.
Always show components of subassemblies ignoring the “Child component display when used as a subassembly” setting Select this option to ignore selection of the Child component display when used as a subassembly options in Properties of the SOLIDWORKS assembly configurations. While you have this option selected, all supported components of the subassemblies are always included in the ATR CustomTools structure export.
Always include 'Excluded from BOM' components, ignoring the 'Exclude from BOM' settings Select this option to ignore SOLIDWORKS component setting Exclude from Bill of Materials, and so include them to ATR CustomTools structure Export by default. Having this setting on will disable changing the Exclude from BOM setting for the models via Export dialog.
User property scopes to be exported NOT SUPPORTED for Dynamics NAV integrations without script customization.
Open output file(s) once completed NOT SUPPORTED for Dynamics NAV integrations without script customization.

Select the desired file conversion rules to be executed during the structure export process in association to the selected Export Profile. If the integration's Preview and Linking codeunit is deployed to NAV/BC and Set Item Link option set, then a link to the resulting document conversion will be added to the Item that corresponds the converted model or its drawing.

In the Dynamics NAV Export Settings dialog box, you may define the BOM handling options and determine whether to export component preview images and links into the Navision vault. You can also select the target companies available for selection while the selected Export Profile is being used for the data export from ATR CustomTools to the Dynamics NAV system.

Available at Export Determines the target companies where the data could be exported in, with the selected Export Profile. Select all companies that you want to allow exporting in, with the selected Export Profile. If more than one company are being selected in here, you get prompted to select the target companies from the allowed ones before you can start the actual exporting process in the ATR CustomTools Export feature.
Export BOM Determines whether or not to export BOM of the selected SOLIDWORKS document, into the selected vaults in your Microsoft Dynamics NAV environment. Select this option to enable models' BOM exporting.
Update existing BOM Determines whether or not to update Bill of Materials in the NAV system if it already exist for the selected model. When you have this option selected, a BOM that already exists in the NAV system is being updated during the Export process.
Export preview Determines whether to export preview images of the components into the Dynamics NAV system. While this option is selected, the preview images are being exported.

You may need to import the codeunit from the ATR CustomTools Dynamics NAV Integration options to use the Export preview and Set item link options properly. The codeunit is required by the Microsoft Dynamics NAV system to handle the type of data imported by the preview images and the item links.

Set item link Determines whether to export item links of the components into the Dynamics NAV system. While this option is selected, the item links are being exported.

You may need to import the codeunit from the ATR CustomTools Dynamics NAV Integration options to use the Export preview and Set item link options properly. The codeunit is required by the Microsoft Dynamics NAV system to handle the type of data imported by the preview images and the item links.

The built-in Dynamics NAV Integration can be overridden with Script Customization that is deployed to the ATR CustomTools Database and thus applies to all client machines of the same ATR CustomTools Environment.

NOTE: ATR CustomTools script add-ins are always implemented by the customer's separate order. For that reason, some extra costs may apply. Please contact the ATR CustomTools Sales Team for further information.
