On the last step, you can save the selection filter. Saving the filter also attaches it to the selected batch operation profile. An icon to indicate the filter attachment on the batch operation profile.

The saved filter is being applied automatically to the future batch operations in which the selected batch operation profile is involved in. |
If you want to filter selection just on this particular batch operation, do not select the Save and attach this filter to option. Just click the Finish button instead in that case. The selection filter is not being saved and/or attached to any batch opereation profile then.
