On the Sheet Targetting page, you can setup the printers to use with the specific sheet sizes. The default printer defined by the sheet size is used only to the source documents created on to the sheet size matching with the printer rule. Source documents that does not match with any of the sheet size based printer rules, are printed using the printer defined on the Default Printer page.
Printer | Defines the printer device or, a software based document printer used by default for printing the selected SOLIDWORKS documents. |
Source | The Source box defines the source tray of paper in the printer selected from the Printer box. The sources available in the Source box are retrieved automatically based on the printer selected. |
Paper size | Defines the paper size to print selected documents on. |
Orientation | In the Orientation box, you can select to print documents either portrait or landscape orientation to the target paper. |
Scaling | Select the Zoom to fit option to automatically fit the source document to a size of the paper selected in the Paper size box. |
Find printer | Click the Find printer link to search for a printer available in your environment. |
Click the + button to create a printer rule for the desired paper size. The Derive new rule for sheet size box appears to choose the paper size to assign a printer rule to. Using the Print & Convert Profile Wizard, you can define printer rules only by the paper size.
To make printer rules by the SOLIDWORKS Sheet Format Files (*.drt, *.slddrt), use the CUSTOMTOOLS Printer Profile Wizard available in the CUSTOMTOOLS Print Properties options. |
