Main Information

You can define the options related to the printer by defining the Printer Profile associated to your batch printing profile in CUSTOMTOOLS. With help of the Printer Profile your SOLIDWORKS documents are automatically printed to the correct printer or plotter device using the correct size of paper.



Main information of the Printer Profile:

Printer settings in the CUSTOMTOOLS batch Printing Profile can be defined according to the specific SOLIDWORKS Sheet Format file (*.slddrt) or, to the specific Sheet size. On the Main Information page you can determine the way you want to choose the printer or plotter device to process the documents with.


Sheet Format File:

Used sheet format file Determines the SOLIDWORKS Sheet Format file (*.slddrt) to scope the selected printer rule to. Specifying the printer rule by the desired sheet format, lets you to define the printer or plotter to use to print the specific type of drawings to the specific printing device.

Click the Browse button to use the file browser feature to find and select the desired Sheet Format file.


Sheet size From the Sheet size box, you can select the drawing sheet size to scope the printer profile to. When you define the printer based on the sheet size, all drawings created to the selected sheet size are processed with the selected batch printing profile.
Width Defines the width of the drawing sheet to select the processed drawings by.
Height Defines the height of the drawing sheet to select the processed drawings by.

Info NOTES:
- The Width and Height boxes could be used only if you have selected the User defined option from the Sheet size box.
- Millimeters (mm) are used as the unit of dimension for the custom sheet size.
- The Sheet Format file selected in the Sheet format file box replaces all the user defined sheet size settings.
