CustomTools Installation

CustomTools installer lets you to install CustomTools as a Trial version or as a Custom installation. If you already have a valid CustomTools license, select the Custom installation.

Info NOTE: CustomTools have to be installed separately for the each workstation.

Installation types:

Trial Select this one to install CustomTools trial version. The trial version installs all CustomTools products needed for the basic CustomTools workstation and the Microsoft SQL Server 2014 Express with a database called CustomTools Demo that you can use to store the reference data of the SOLIDWORKS documents to. Trial installation is a good choise for the evaluation purposes.

NOTE: If you already have the SQL Server installed, the new instance of the SQL Server will not be installed. Then, only the SQL Server database for CustomTools is installed.
 
Custom Select this one to manually select the components of CustomTools to be installed. This installation type is recommended if you already have purchased a CustomTools license or if you do not need to evaluate products. Select this installation type also if you have a database server separated from the SolidWorks workstations.

Info TIP: Recommended components for the License Server installations are Server Side Components with a License Manager service.
