When you choose to install CUSTOMTOOLS using the Custom setup type, you can select the desired CUSTOMTOOLS components to be installed by your self. In Custom Setup, you have the following CUSTOMTOOLS components to choose from. CUSTOMTOOLS components are divided to the following categories.
Client components are recommended only for the client workstations.
NOTE: Installed version of the SOLIDWORKS eDrawings is being automatically detected on the CUSTOMTOOLS Viewer installation. If the installed SOLIDWORKS eDrawings major version and the installed SOLIDWORKS major version are at least equal, CUSTOMTOOLS Viewer installation does not install SOLIDWORKS eDrawings. In this case the existing instance of SOLIDWORKS eDrawings is being used with the CUSTOMTOOLS Viewer. |
The following tools are usually usable in the server computer but these tools could be installed also on the client workstations.
The SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS) is an integrated environment for accessing, configuring, managing, administering, and developing all components of the entire SQL Server. SSMS combines a broad group of graphical tools with a number of rich script editors to provide developers and administrators of all skill levels access to the SQL Server.
NOTE: Advanced skills are required for usage of the SQL Server Management Studio. For that reason it is not recommended to be installed on the client workstation unless the user has the sufficient skills and it is really needed. |
Server components are recommended for the server computers.
The CUSTOMTOOLS Database component means that the Microsoft SQL Server Express edition is about to be installed to the target computer. If you would like to setup the SQL Server separately, please refer to the installation documentation available in the Microsoft Developer Network (MSDN):
If the CUSTOMTOOLS Database feature is about to be installed, the SQL Server System Administrator account's password is about to be defined on the next step of the CUSTOMTOOLS installation.
Only the English language is selected by default. You may select more languages from the alternatives above, to be installed as you wish.
In Custom Setup, you can change the folder to install CUSTOMTOOLS to. The default installation path is the same one as it is also in the Trial installation so the default installation path is C:\Program Files\ATR Soft\CustomTools 202x.
Click the Change button to change the installation path.
