The Standalone License is a static license, which cannot be connected to a License Server. The Standalone License is unique to every user. The Standalone License works without the License manager.

The Standalone license is an optimal solution if you are not always connected to a local network. The structure of the standalone license is show on the figure below:
NOTE: CUSTOMTOOLS will start in a limited mode if the CUSTOMTOOLS license number does not correspond with the SOLIDWORKS License Number. |
If there is more than one potential user for a single license, you should consider the Network License as a better solution.
NOTE: The Network license requires a server which is connected to a Local Area Network (LAN). If you do not work with a server, you should consider the Standalone license. |
