CUSTOMTOOLS Properties are storage links for dynamic reference data between your SOLIDWORKS Documents and the CUSTOMTOOLS Database.
For example:
Create various kind of logic in controls.
Combine many property values together using the Combinations to store more data into a single Property.
Property Groups and Properties could be freely defined. The database Attributes are used to link the SOLIDWORKS document properties with the Properties.
You can add missing database attributes using the Attributes options located in the Database Options tab or, you can type name of the new attribute in the Basic Information page of the Property Wizard while creating a new property to add missing attribute into the database automatically.
Properties are organized with help of the Property Groups.
The groups also allocates Properties into the clear order to ease management of them.
After importing a converted profile you can add properties to groups by selecting the property from which the next group should start before creating a new group. Then properties are automatically added to it.
Show only parent configurations and let the child configurations inherit properties from the parent. The child configurations inherits the properties from the parent configurations. The Property values are also automatically stored to child configurations.
NOTE: The values cannot be edited by the user when this option is selected.
The Properties options are located in the CUSTOMTOOLS Profile Options.

By the quantity options in the Properties node, you can link a Property for a model or an assembly and its associated value to the BOM quantity in a BOM. This feature is similar like the BOM quantity option available in the SOLIDWORKS File Properties dialog box but a thing that makes this feature in CUSTOMTOOLS different to the SOLIDWORKS one is that in CUSTOMTOOLS, you may select a different target Property for the Model and Assembly scopes.
When the model or an assembly appears in a BOM, the quantity is calculated as the value assigned to the Property multiplied by the number of parts.
Property used as Model BOM Quantity
By this option, you can select any attribute in your CUSTOMTOOLS database that is associated with a property of Model, Part or Assembly scope.
Property used as Assembly BOM Quantity
By this option, you can select a separate Property for storing the assembly quantity in a BOM. Only attributes associated to the Assembly scope properties are available in this option.
Propagate to model's SOLIDWORKS BOM quantity
Select the Propagate to model's SOLIDWORKS BOM quantity option to store quantity of the model into the attribute selected as the SOLIDWORKS BOM quantity in the SOLIDWORKS Summary Information dialog box.
In the Export Profiles, the Field data type Material Quantity refers to the number of component instances multiplied by the value pointed using this Property for each component.
