File Operations
File Operation options contain settings used to handle saving operations.
The File Operation options are located in the ATR CustomTools User Options.
Select the desired ATR CustomTools product from the table below to display further and product-specific instructions to find the File Operation options.

Click Tools, ATR CustomTools, Options. The ATR CustomTools Options dialog box appear with the Profile Options tab active. Click the User Options tab. Select the File Operation node to see the options. |

Click the Options command located in the ribbon. The ATR CustomTools Options dialog box appear with the Profile Options tab active. Click the User Options tab. Select the File Operation node to see the options. |

Login to your ATR CustomTools database. Right-click the desired user node from the Database View and select User Options. The ATR CustomTools Options dialog box appear with the User Options tab active. Select the File Operation node to see the options related to the ATR CustomTools user currently logged in the database. |
| Save drawings automatically | Enable or disable automatic saving of drawing documents. When selected, drawings are saved automatically based on the Projects options when performing the Save command. If a specific path for drawings is not defined in the Projects options, the drawing is saved in the same folder as its referenced model. |
| Suggest copying of referencing drawings when a model is saved as or renamed | Determines whether to prompt the user to copy drawings referenced to the model being saved as or renamed. This option is selected by default so the Copy Referenced Drawings dialog appears when saving as or renaming a part or assembly with related drawings. Clear this option to avoid the dialog appearing for these operations. |
| Show when saving an existing file as new file | When selected, the Properties dialog box appears when performing the SOLIDWORKS Save As command on an existing document. | ||||||
| Don't show when saving model for the first time |
Skip the ATR CustomTools Properties dialog box when saving a new SOLIDWORKS document for the
first time.
When selected, only the SOLIDWORKS Save As dialog appears for determining the target path and filename. The suggested filename is still based on Project options. |

Skip the ATR CustomTools Properties dialog box when saving a virtual component.
When selected, the dialog does not appear when saving a virtual component. |

| Open created document when performing Save As Copy |
Determines whether to open the copied document after the Save As Copy operation or prompt the user.
