Mass and Density

The mass and density of the SOLIDWORKS document are calculated based on the material selected from the SOLIDWORKS Feature Manager or using the ATR CustomTools Properties pane. You can manage your ATR CustomTools materials using the ATR CustomTools Materials options. SOLIDWORKS materials are retrieved automatically from the SOLIDWORKS settings.

The mass is automatically calculated based on the material mass information, and the value is automatically inserted or updated when selecting or modifying the selected material.

The total mass of an assembly is calculated based on the materials assigned to the parts included in the assembly.

The defined material of the document is also stored in the SOLIDWORKS document properties.
