User Rights of the CUSTOMTOOLS Database

This help describes the minimum user rights which are needed in order to use the CUSTOMTOOLS Database.

NOTE: Login to the CUSTOMTOOLS database as ct_admin via Microsoft SQL Server, to modify the user rights of the CUSTOMTOOLS database.

SQL Server roles:

In order to connect to the SQL server and perform other server level operations, the server role have to be set as Public.

Every database user is a member of the public role.

CUSTOMTOOLS database roles:

The following fixes have to be made for the user Database Level roles of CUSTOMTOOLS database:

• To the database role membership:
• db_datareader - The user have the permission to read data from the database.
• db_datawriter - The user can add, delete, or change data in all user tables.
