The Delete Files dialog box appears when deleting files from the database.
The Delete Files dialog can be used to remove the file of SOLIDWORKS and/or its reference in the CUSTOMTOOLS database.
Delete associated files from the hard drive as well | Select this options to remove the file references from the CUSTOMTOOLS database and the selected files from the hard drive as well. |
Select the Delete files permanently option in the CUSTOMTOOLS User Options to bypass the Windows Recycle Bin while removing files.
NOTE: When deleting files by bypassing the Recycle Bin, the deleted files cannot be restored anymore. |
In order to delete any design data from the CUSTOMTOOLS database, the user needs have the Delete Design Data permission to the CUSTOMTOOLS database. CUSTOMTOOLS database administrators can manage the database level permissions with help of the CUSTOMTOOLS Administration Tool.
