Access to CUSTOMTOOLS Help

CUSTOMTOOLS has a context sensitive help system with several different ways to access the help system. This help describes ways to access the CUSTOMTOOLS Help system.

The What's new and Release notes documents are also shipped with CUSTOMTOOLS in .pdf format. PDF documents included in CUSTOMTOOLS, are located in \lang\english folder in your CUSTOMTOOLS installation directory.


How to open the CUSTOMTOOLS help:

F1 key Press the F1 key to open CUSTOMTOOLS help.
Help buttons You can also open the CUSTOMTOOLS help by clicking the help button. The following kind of help buttons are in use in the CUSTOMTOOLS user interface:

ButtonCommandBtn Basic command button type of the Help button. This button type is frequently used, for example in the CUSTOMTOOLS Options dialog box.

Button7 This type of a button appear in title bar of the dialog box using Windows Vista or newer Windows operating system.

ButtonPMP This type of a button is used in the different left side panes of CUSTOMTOOLS.

ButtonCTPane This type of a button is used on the CUSTOMTOOLS Search pane in SOLIDWORKS add-in and CUSTOMTOOLS Viewer. Also the floating Properties pane uses this kind of Help button.

The floating Properties pane appear when saving the document by the first time using the SOLIDWORKS Save command.
ButtonCTPane This type of the Help button is used in the top right corner of the CUSTOMTOOLS Administration Tool and CUSTOMTOOLS Viewer window next to the Manage CUSTOMTOOLS Licenses command icon.
