Copy Referenced Drawings

While performing the Save as or Save as Copy action for a model that have one or more referenced drawings, the Copy Referenced Drawings dialog box appear.

Info NOTE: Drawings deleted from the hard disk by using the Windows Explorer does not appear into the Copy Referenced Drawings dialog box.

If the drawing has different name than its related model, the Copy Referenced Drawings dialog box does not appear.


Copying the referenced drawing or drawings:

By default when the Copy Referenced Drawigns dialog box appear, all referenced drawings in the list are selected. If you do not need all of them with the copied or with the new part created, clear selection of the drawings you would like to exclude. The drawings excluded from copying are left untouched into the location they currently are in.

New folder for checked items Target folder for the copied drawings.

TIP: Double click the desired file to browse for the target folder for a single file.
Browse Opens the Browse For Folder dialog box. Use the Browse For Folder dialog box to determine the destination folder for the copied files.
Default Reset target folder back to default. Default path comes from the project settings of the project that the documents are assigned to.
Update drawings Select this option to update the copied drawings if any changes are made to the referenced model or its' reference data.
Open new drawings in SOLIDWORKS Select this option to open copied drawings in SOLIDWORKS once they are copied.
Select All Selects all referenced drawings from the list.
Deselect All Clears the current selection.
