You can add a table, containing the version information of the related model into the drawing. This help descibes the options regarding to the revision table insertion.
Revision rows in the the revision table inserted with the Data command are retrieved from the model configuration that the drawing sheet refers to. Please see the SOLIDWORKS help for the further instructions about how to change the configuration shown in the active sheet of the drawing.
Click in the CustomTools toolbar or click CustomTools, Data.
The CustomData pane appears.
The revision table can be inserted into the drawing. If you insert the revision table before you add any views, you need to rebuild the drawing once you have added at least one view into the drawing in order to update the revision table.
Under Choose Data To Add, click Revision and then click to proceed to the revision table options page.
Number of revision rows | Defines the amount of revision rows to be shown in the revision table. |
Insert revision data into the table in reverse order (n...1) | Inverts the order of the revision table. |
Insert header row at the bottom | Places the header row of the table to top of the revision rows. |
Model | Retrieve the revision rows from the model related version properties. |
Drawing | Retrieves the revision rows from the drawing related version properties. |

Place the Revision table to the desired location on the sheet.
Revision table border weight settings are read from the SOLIDWORKS document settings so the user could edit the revision table borders.
NOTE: The Revision table cannot be added into the sheet format but the revision table can be mapped with the desired sheet format to insert it automatically. |
When importing the revision data for the file that already has the revision table, the imported data is compared with the current revision data and the latest revision data appears into the revision table.
