Handling the Changed Filenames

The Changed Filename dialog box appears when the Property used as the filename has been changed. Use this dialog box to determine how to handle changes to the document's filename.

Changes to filenames are detected based on the document's Property values and the Project options of the currently active profile.

Save As

Select this option to save the file using the new filename.

If the model has one or more related drawings, performing the Save As action prompts you to copy the drawings as well.

Save As Copy

Select this option to save the document as a copy with the new filename. Saving the document as a copy does not cause any changes to the original file.

If the model has one or more related drawings, performing the Save As Copy action prompts you to copy the drawings as well.

Rename Select this option to rename the existing document. The new filename is determined by the Property used as the filename.
Rename And Move Renames the original file and moves it to the desired new location.
Ignore The selected or active file is saved without applying the changed file naming rules.

When you save as, save as copy, rename, or rename and move a model whose Property used as filename has been changed, ATR CustomTools prompts you to also copy the referenced drawings of the model to keep the file references valid. The Copy Referenced Drawings dialog appears in that case as a prompt.

Use the Copy Referenced Drawings dialog box to select and copy the desired drawings referring to the model to keep the necessary file references valid.

NOTE: Drawings deleted from the hard disk using Windows Explorer do not appear in the Copy Referenced Drawings dialog box.
