Attribute Editor
Create a database attribute to link your Property together with the SOLIDWORKS document property.
| Attribute Name |
Defines the name for the attribute. You can recognize different attributes by their names, which also work as specific column names in the SOLIDWORKS document properties. |
Each attribute can be linked to the Property by the name defined in the Attribute Name box.
NOTE:
Use a unique name for each Attribute you create.
You can also link the document Properties to the SOLIDWORKS Drawings directly by the Attributes by creating Note Annotations to the drawing using the following formats:
- $PRP: "Attribute name". Link a drawing property to the Note Annotation. If the value of the drawing property linked to the Note Annotation is changed, the value in the drawing Note Annotation is also updated.
- $PRPSHEET:"Attribute name". Link a property written in the model referenced by the drawing to the Note Annotation. If the value of the model property linked to the Note Annotation is changed, the value in the drawing Note Annotation is also updated.
