License Activation Wizard

The Activation Wizard is a license activation tool for CUSTOMTOOLS. The Activation Wizard is used to activate or transfer CUSTOMTOOLS licenses. You need to select the action to do and the wizard will Complete the rest of activation process. The activation summary appears once the activation has been completed.

The license activation wizard appears automatically while running CUSTOMTOOLS products for the first time. If the licenses needs to be upgraded or transferred later, you can open the activation wizard by the following ways:

SOLIDWORKS Add-In	In SOLIDWORKS 2019 and older, click Help, Manage CUSTOMTOOLS Licenses to open the CUSTOMTOOLS License Activation Wizard. In SOLIDWORKS 2020 and newer, click , Manage CUSTOMTOOLS Licenses to open the CUSTOMTOOLS License Activation Wizard.
CUSTOMTOOLS Viewer	Click to open the CUSTOMTOOLS License Activation Wizard.
CUSTOMTOOLS Administration	Click to open the CUSTOMTOOLS License Activation Wizard.

In SOLIDWORKS 2020 version onwards, the Help menu is replaced with the menu, which is located in the top right corner of the SOLIDWORKS window, next to the menu.

Serial Number	The serial number of CUSTOMTOOLS is automatically detected and imported into the Serial number box.
Email	Type here your email address.
First name	Type here your first name.
Last name	Type here your last name.
Phone	Type here your phone number in the international format ( For example: +358 40 123 4567 )

Select the license management action from the options under the Please choose the action to perform group.

Activate license	Activates the current license of detected product.
Transfer License	Transfers the current license to the activation server if the license may have to be activated again later. TIP: Use the Transfer License action when you have to reinstall CUSTOMTOOLS on the workstation. Then the licence should be transferred before beginning to uninstall any CUSTOMTOOLS products.
View currently activated licenses	Select this to show the activations which are currently valid in this workstation.

Once the action has been selected, click Next to proceed. The Activation Wizard will complete the requested operations.

The status of the activation process is shown on the progress bar.

Once all the Activation operations have been completed, a Summary will be displayed to inform the user about the success of the operations.

Click Finish to close the wizard.

If the activation fails because of an issue detected on the internet connection during the license activation process, a message box appear which contains all necessary activation information. Send the license information shown in the message box to CUSTOMTOOLS support for the email activation of the license.

Reason that can prevent you to activate the CUSTOMTOOLS license via internet connection could be e.g. a proxy settings or a firewall.

TIP: You can copy all contents from the message box to the clipboard by pressing Ctrl+C while the message box is active and then paste the contents into the email message by pressing Ctrl+V.
