Export Profile Editor


Where to find the Export Profile editor:

The CUSTOMTOOLS Export Profile editor is located in the CUSTOMTOOLS Profile Options. Refer to the following steps to open the CUSTOMTOOLS Export Profile editor in SOLIDWORKS:

  1. Use one of the following methods to open the CUSTOMTOOLS Profile Options - Projects dialog box:
    A. Click Tools, CUSTOMTOOLS, Options.

    B. While you have any document open in SOLIDWORKS, click the Options button in the CUSTOMTOOLS command manager.

    C. In case you do not have any documents open in SOLIDWORKS, click the Options button in the CUSTOMTOOLS toolbar.
  2. Select the Export Profiles node.
  3. Click the New button associated to the Export profiles group. The Export Profile dialog box appear.



Default Export Profile Handlers:

By default, the following type of handlers are supported by the CUSTOMTOOLS Export Profile editor.

Profile type Description Target system
<General> Use the <General> profile type to create a structure export profile to export SOLIDWORKS model structures into various types of information systems. The <General> type of an export profile could be customized by the needs of the target system by the CUSTOMTOOLS Script add-ins. Various systems are supported
Cloud Connected Use the Cloud Connected profile type to export SOLIDWORKS model structures to the Roima's Product Information Cloud system. The Cloud Connected type of Export profile can be customized by the CUSTOMTOOLS Script add-ins. Roima Product Information Cloud
Excel Report Select the Excel Report profile type to create an Export Profile for exporting your SOLIDWORKS model structure into the Microsoft Excel workbook. The Excel Report type of an export profile could be customized by the needs of the target system by the CUSTOMTOOLS Script add-ins. Microsoft Excel®
