The General User Options contains user-specific settings. Such as the default dictionary and also the delete files options.
The General User options are located in the CustomTools User Options.
Select the desired CustomTools product from the CustomTools Products box to display the further and the product specific instructions to find the General User options.
CustomTools Products: |
Dictionary default language | Selects the default language to be used from the dictionary. |
Select the user interface language | Determines the user interface language used in CustomTools products. Languages available in this box depends on what languages you installed to CustomTools. |
Delete files permanently | Enable/disable deleting files without using the Recycle Bin. |
Hide splash screen on start-up (Standard and Professional editions) | Determines whether the CustomTools splash screen is shown on the CustomTools SOLIDWORKS add-in startup or not. Select this option to disable the splash screen on startup.
NOTE: Even if the Hide splash screen on start-up option is selected, the CustomTools splash screen still appear on startup of the CustomTools Viewer and Administration Tool. |
Insert wildchar automatically to search conditions |
Allows CustomTools to add a Wild-Card Characters to both ends of the search keyword.
The wild-card characters are not visible for the user even if CustomTools is allowed to add them. |
Maximum number of rows shown in the search result list | Limits the number of visible rows in the search results. |
Nested view | The search results are shown by the parent-child way where the document itself is a parent document and its configurations are shown as the child documents. |
Expand documents in search results to show configurations | The search results are automatically expanded in the Search Results dialog box that is used to show the search results. |
Flat view | Shows one row per each found document configuration in the search results. |
Show only one configuration per file | Only one configuration from each file is shown in the search results. |
Reset Command Manager | Use the Reset Command Manager button to reset the CustomTools tab in the SOLIDWORKS Command manager back to default. |
NOTE: The Reset Command Manager button is enabled only when maintaining CustomTools options in SOLIDWORKS. |
