Additional Conversion Options for PDF

The additional options for the pdf documents provides some advanced options for the file conversion rules which output file type is PDF.

Export PDF in color The PDF documents generated by the file conversion are converted by using the normal colors. If this option is not selected, the output pdf documents are converted using the black and white colors.
Preferred model orientation Determines the model view orientation used in the output file.
Embed fonts The fonts used by the source documents are embedded also into the output document.
High quality The output documents are generated using the better quality. Converting as High quality documents may take more time than converting as the normal quality.
Print header/footer The header/footer elements included in the source documents are also converted.
Use specified printer line weights The file conversio uses the same line weight setting as the printer does.
Save As 3D PDF Saves the documents as the 3D PDF format which can be rotated, zoomed, panned and so on like the 3D models in the SOLIDWORKS.
Info NOTE: The Adobe Reader version 7 or newer is required in order to view the 3D PDF files properly.

Merge PDF All the selected documents are embedded into the single PDF file as own pages. Also a bookmark referring to each page appear into the output file. Bookmarks are automatically named by CustomTools based on the drawing name. Drawing views under the bookmarks are named in an output file based on what they are named as in the SOLIDWORKS drawing document.

NOTE: When converting documents using a PDF file conversion rule which have the Merge PDF option selected, add the Source Configuration data into the output file name defined in the Target filename box of your file conversion rule to convert documents properly.

Impose PDF Embeds as many documents as possible per sheet into the single PDF file which sheet size is specified by the user. Use the additional options of the Impose PDF to setup the conversion rules for the imposing operation.

Impose PDF settings:

Paper Size Sets the target sheet size where the converted documents are imposed to.
Paper horizontal interval Sets the horizontal distance between the documents imposed to the same sheet.
Paper vertical interval Sets the vertical distance between the documents imposed to the same sheet.
Info The horizontal and vertical intervals are defined in millimeters (mm).

Available View Orientations:

Last used The document is saved into the output file using the view orientation that was in use when the document was saved last time.
Isometric Select this to use the isometric view orientation in the output file.
Dimetric Select this to use the dimetric view orientation in the output file.
Trimetric Select this to use the trimetric view orientation in the output file.

Common controls:

Reset All Resets all additional options to their default settings.
